Kizilcahamam is a county which is located at the south of Ankara city, over the E5 Ankara-Istanbul State Highway. The transportation is easy as it is duplex from Ankara and Istanbul sides. Kizilcahamam is located between Cubuk, Yenimahalle, Ayas, Gudul, Camlidere counties and Bolu and Cankiri cities. Kizilcahamam which is a hilly and forest region covers an area of 1712 square kilometer. It ensures the transition between the Central Anatolia and Black Sea. Koroglu Mountains is the most important mountain of the county and the Kirmir Stream which is one of the branches of Sakarya River is the most important river of the county. Kurtbogazi, Egrekkaya and Akyar Dams which supply drinking water for Ankara is located within the territory of Kizilcahamam. Kizilcahamam thermal Springs which are known as being used since the Roman Era has a respectable reputation in all over Turkey. It is famous with Soguksu National Park, its thermal springs, hotels, mineral waters, historical places and festivals. It is a cure center. Its thermal waters help for the treatment of many diseases.
